PATINATION
Accelerating the normal brass ageing process
Drummonds' patinated brass finish accelerates the normal ageing process of unlacquered brass to give you a beautiful aged look that would take many years to achieve naturally. We create this unique look by hand, applying an acid solution to speed up the oxidising process.
This antique look can achieve several different finishes, essentially a green or brown patination with highly polished or matt finish on top. Because this is a natural process there will be slight colour variations between handles.
